Not all Schools have as complete a faculty as Blue springs. nt this time I want to express the sincere gratitude of each and every student of the student body to the faculty for the hours of hard thought, energy, and effort they have willingly expended in order that we might get and education. Mr. west, our superintendent is a newcomer this year at Blue Springs High School. We wish to ccngradulate him on the splendid work he has done here this past year. Before coming to Blue Spring as superintendent Mr. West was a lst Lieutenant in the U. S. Army. Besides supervising the school Mr. West teaches mathematics and some physical education. ' Hrs. Bartholcmees is one of our Hole standbysug she has been with us for several years. After graduating from Missouri University in 1941 Miss wells, she was then , came to B.S.H.S. to begin her teaching career, but it was rudely interrupted by a great disaster- ---- MARRIAGE. Mrs. Bar- tnolomees then departed from our alma mater to spend a year and half with the lucky bridegroom who is now a Major in the U. 5. army overseas. Mrs. Bartholomees canw back to us then this yeah She is our principal and teaches English and dramatics with some speech and debate work thrown in for good measure. Mr. Bethards is our all-around man. If you have anything you went done,Just notify Mr. Bethards he can do anything and everything from making a baby buggy to driving a school bus. Besides tea- ching shop and driving a school bus, he teaches american History, mechanical drawing, Keeps stu- dy hall, and as a side line supervises s me of the physical education classes. Mrs. Dwyer is a new member of our faculty but not of our community. Happily she agreed to re- place Mrs. Lewis this year in the home economics department. ,Although we miss our old friend , Mrs. Lewis we are proud of the wonderful work mrs. Dwyer is doing in her foods, clothing and bi- ology classes. Miss Newland heads our commercial department. She has established a fine reputation during her first year on our faculty as a diligent worker. In addition to her regular duties she spends much time on the school publications. hr. Sears e native of Glasgow is now teaching here at Blue Springs. He teaches world history, citizenship and keeps study hall. Also coaches lthletics. Besides our faculty we want to thank Miss Graham for her aasiduity in preforming her secretorial job, and Mr. Hutchins for his hard work as custodian and general handy man.
