When I got here I wasn't real- ly sure what I was expecting. But now I know that the girls are will- ing to work. So far, it has been a really great experience , said Mr. Ted Weigel, the new volleyball coach. Girls are willing to work as hard or harder than boys . New faces are holding up the team's future ability, and the ones who will be leaving are adding their guidance and experience. Anita Irvin, a second year re- serve team player said, our team is hardworking, dedicated, we can take the pain . Go Big Blue What is a cheerleader? A cheer- leader is a person who is dedicated to get the crowd involved in a bas- ketball game. Without cheerleaders there would not be all ot the cute little sayings and cheers you hear at all ot the ballgames, Cheerleading isn't as easy as it looks. You have to be able to get up in tront of people and sometimes do things only a gymnast Could do. ,f i 3 f Q ? 4. , 1 E: 154:51 'l if ALL FIRED UP-Keeping the crowd tired up during a game is the main function of a cheerleader. Paula Masters does her best to tire up the crowd. TIME OUT-Entertaining the crowd during a time out are the B-team cheerleaders.
