Aqailae Play 12 Game Schedule, End Season with 6 Wins, 6' Losses Nancy Fehr, basketball coach. WITH FIVE RETURNING STARTERS, the Blue Moun- tain Aquilae, coached by Nancy Fehr, ended their season with a 6-6 record. In the first encounter the Eagle sextet crushed North- western 44-l3. Tri-Valley edged the Eaglettes 40-34. Traveling to Williams Valley, the girls lost a 40-21 de- cision. In their next tilt the Eagle lassies suffered a 26-17 defeat at the hands of Tri-Valley. In a holiday exhibition game the Aquilae were handed a 41-29 beating by the Alumni. In the next league game the Nativity girls downed Blue Mountain 49-38. After drubbing Pottsville 40-24, the girls lost to Pine Grove, 31-28, but stormed back to down Nativity 39-27, Potts- ville 41-23, and Pine Grove 28-25. Agnes Barrow, archery coach. ARCI-IERY TEAM members are S. Bast, J. Tyndall, B. Timmins, J. Mengel, and N. Kimmel. COACHED BY AGNES BARROW, the Blue Mountain archers compete in tournaments for the second year against girls from Mahanoy Area, Minersville, Pine Grove, and Pottsville. One match is held on the home grounds of each of the participating schools . For the juniors, Judy Tyndall led the county in victories for the l965 season. Archers Continue in County Competition, Varsity Golf Appears on Athletic Card VARSITY GOLF MAKES ITS APPEARANCE on the Blue Mountain athletic scene for the first time this spring. Forming the nucleus for the team are boys who worked with coach Charles Shields last spring. Matches scheduled for the 1966 season are Pottsville, April 22g West Hazelton, May 4g Whitehall, May 12, West Hazelton, May 133 Whitehall, May 20g and Pottsville, May 25.
