Grapplers Complete Second Year as Varsity Sportg Compile 6'-4 Record WRESTLING IN THEIR SECOND YEAR OF varsity competition, the Eagle matmen com- piled a 6-4 record. Coach Larry Ross's Wrestlers Worked strenuously to uphold their motto: We make men out of boys. The Eagle grapplers mauled West Hazel- ton 59-3 in their opening match. They next punished Hamburg 28-20 and nipped Jim Thorpe 25-2l. Minersville Was the next vic- tim of the Eagles in a 37-20 trouncing. Ash- land defeated the Eagles 25-20 in their next encounter. Blue Mountain again tasted defeat at the hands of a powerful Mount Carmel team, 42-8. joe Onuskanich and Rick Moyer registered the Eagle's only wins. Ross's matmen fell prey to Tri-Valley in a 23-17 loss. The Eagles smothered West Hazelton the Mr. Carmel meet. 60-3, lost to Pottsville 25-I4, and decisioned Ashland 25-l7. Aqailae Play 12 Game Schedule, End Season with 6 Wins, 6' Losses Nancy Fehr, basketball coach. WITH FIVE RETURNING STARTERS, the Blue Moun- tain Aquilae, coached by Nancy Fehr, ended their season with a 6-6 record. In the first encounter the Eagle sextet crushed North- western 44-l3. Tri-Valley edged the Eaglettes 40-34. Traveling to Williams Valley, the girls lost a 40-21 de- cision. In their next tilt the Eagle lassies suffered a 26-17 defeat at the hands of Tri-Valley. In a holiday exhibition game the Aquilae were handed a 41-29 beating by the Alumni. In the next league game the Nativity girls downed Blue Mountain 49-38. After drubbing Pottsville 40-24, the girls lost to Pine Grove, 31-28, but stormed back to down Nativity 39-27, Potts- ville 41-23, and Pine Grove 28-25.
