In their opening game the junior Eagles lost to Pottsville 91-45 in a non-league game. In their other exhibition tilts, Minersville romped over Scott's courtmen by scores of 69-57 and 91-47. The jayvees trounced Pine Grove 62-38. In their league opener with Mount Carmel, the jayvee courtsters were decisioned by a score of Maffco loses ball J. V. coach Virgil Scott watches against Frackville. practice session. Olmes guards Trout during practice. 76-57. The junior Eagles nipped Mt. Car- mel 53-52 in their second encounter. Shen- andoah jayvees defeated the Eagle dribblers twice by scores of 76-57 and 89-53. The Eagles fell prey to Panther Valley in both games, 83-59 and 62-32. A powerful Ma- hanoy Area team trounced the young Eagles 63-34 and 91-31. The jayvees punished Ashland 56-40, but lost the second contest, 58-48. St. Clair won both games, 69-61 and 65-58. The junior Eagles edged Schuylkill N Haven 52-44 in the first contest, but dropped the second game 58-39. The Eagle courtmen mauled Ringtown by scores of 77-47 and 67-48. Frackville decisioned the Eagles 57-43 in the first encounter, but the jayvees won the second game 51-49. Coach Scott discusses strategy at half time.
