Shovvn are Sharon Steinke, Byron Comp, and Roland Shorter, three members ot the Steer- ing Committee, vvith the International MV emblem. The sponsors are Mr. Dauns, Mr, l-leisey, Elder Shorter, and Mr. Streidl. Vt BLUE ATS Our American Temperance Society, under the direction of Mr. Kainer, has been very active this year, included in their activities are the Poster and Jingle Contests. On the evening of February l, many visitors were pre- sent tor the annual Oratorical Con- test, Beside Mr. Kainer is Sandra Sturm, Sec.-Treas., Wayne Price, Presidenty and Jim McLaughlin, Pub, Relations Secretary. 92 MOUNTAIN ACADEMY IN '9 SEMlNAR The Seminar is a vital part of our religious activities on and oft campus. Leading out in the planning for the year is Byron Comp as President, Judy Hemighaus as V. President, Nancy Smith as Secretary and Jim Mclaughlin inot shovvnj as Pub. Relations Sec- retary. Under the direction of Elder lettrook and Mr. Summers, the Seminar has formed into three teams who give programs in other churches. They meet every other Friday night and sometimes have guest speakers. The group also plans the Student Week of Spiritual Emphasis.
