From 1950-1952, Philadelphia Academy was under the capable leadership of Robert Francis, Mr, Francis upheld the tradition of Christian Education for which Philadelphia Academy has been noted. 28 young people were graduated during his time of service. Mr, Akers came to Philadelphia Academy from the cold planes of North Dakota, but he brought the Warmth of his winning personality. Under his enthusiastic leadership the enrollment grew to 100 students.
