3 lam 244444: On October 25, 1960, the Latin students, dressed as Romans, gathered for the annual Latin banquet. The lunchroom was decorated with Doric columns, blue velvet drapes, and colored lights focused on a water fountain, which bubbled all evening. The meal, served by Sophomore slaves, consisted of three courses. The first course included apple cider, deviled eggs, lettuce, carrots, celery, and a variety of crackers. Ham, duck with dressing, fried onion rings, warm buns with honey and wine made up the second course. The last course included fruits, such as raisins, apples, pomegranates, nuts, and more Wine. The meal was eaten with the fingers in true Roman style. For entertainment, the Latin II class presented a play representing a typical Roman wedding. .5 . 1 ,, G. , .,.,, V
