Prophecy In the good ole year of 1975, while shopping in the metropolitan area of Latty, I ran across an old schoolmate, Jay Reed Basil, who Is now the president of the largest chain of department stores in the U. S. While chewin ' the fat with him we began to exchange information about the great group of the class of ' 65. I told him that just recently I had the pleasur e of meeting quite a few of them at a farmers convention in the lower Briceton area. Mr. William Hart, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie (nee Bonnie Foustj are now the owners of 20,000 prize beef cattle which graze on a 15,000 A. ranch in the upper Hedges section. Dave Klopfenstein, one of the greatest crop farmers in the State of Ohio, has become famous for his method of harvesting 600 bushels of beans to an acre. Another great farmer in the area, Darwin Bartles, has made his own great discovery in the area of cattle. It seems that his cows give already processed milk, butter and cream cheese. Miss Francis Strawser, a lady delegate to the convention, has reported that she has developed a recipe for Comet Chiffon Pudding. Ernestine Magillacutty (nee Ernie Doster) was at the convention with her hus- band. She is the proud mother of two sets of twin daughters. Mr. Richard McDougall, the present Secretary of Agriculture, was the chief speaker at the convention. Miss Vicky Cook reigned over the con- vention as Miss Agriculture of Ohio . Miss Ruth Ann Baxter andMissGloriaMielkewere Vickie ' s attendants. Jay told me that he had met quite a few of our old classmates in his many stores. Why, just the other day, our old buddy, Justus Groves came in one of my sporting goods stores and bought a dozen pairs of gym shoes. He told me that he was having a great time with the Harlem Globetrotters. Justus told me that his coach, LaVerne (Legs) Weaver was having a great season. Seems as though their only loss this season was at the hands of the Blue Creek Comets 109-4. Blue Creek must be having a great year. Diane Wieland, as he hears it, is the present editor and fashion model for Vojue magazine. Insofar as we know, Mary Alice Ashbaugh is the head librarian at the John F. Kennedy Library. Mr. Larry Hale was appointed head of one of Jay ' s stores in the women ' s lingerie department. We hear that he is known as the King of the Undieworld. Miss Mary Brady is now the dean at West Point Academy. She is also the presi- dent of the Cadet -Watchers of America. A little birdie told us that Nannette Schlatter just won the 500 mile race in Indianapolis in her 1975 LoottaRex Special (Seems that no one could master those hair- pin curves but her???) At last word, Mary Ann Dunham was tak- ing tickets for the Barnaum Bailey Circus. We just received word that Ken Bowers is stranded on a lonely island in the Pacific after trying to shoot a rat that was in his life raft. (Plastic and buckshot don ' t go together, you know.) Kathryn Mosier is the editor of the Briceton Sun-Times. She did such a fine job for the school newspaper that people thought she should get a promotion. Judy Boroff is famous for her 413 -flavor ice cream cone. (She really would make a fortune if she would just leave out that spinach and cornbread flavor.) Ach!!!! Mr. Joe Turner is now the greatest bar- ber in the Hollywood area. We hear he ' s the best hair -cutter in the history of California. He reports that Yul Brynner is his best cus- tomer. Rosmary Hart is the present President of the United States. Congress reports only one problem. The hotline to Russia is con- stantly busy!! I!! Elaine Taner and Rita Wilhelm now run a cozy little restaurant in the heart of Alaska. Their best -selling product is snowball soup. Mr. Lester Fisher is the Chief janitor at the While House. He reports that he had to extinguish a small fire the other day in the telephone. Could Hot Lips Hart be burnt up at one of her beaus?????? Bev Pratt and Rose Ashton own and operate a small motel near the suburbs of Tipton. They call it the Why Don ' t You Stop Inn . Their hubbies make sure that no one makes off with their towels. Miss Juanita Niswander had just re- corded one of her greatest hit records. We think that it ' s called the Cornbread Twist . All high school cafeterias have banned it. Ah, here comes Miss Sandra Boroff, fresh from her exciting trip in Darkest Africa. Miss Boroff, how was your trip? Ugh, you Tarzan, me Jane. ???????? Well, now we have heard about the entire class of ' 65. I better run and get in my boxcar before the train leaves. You know, I don ' t think they allow us inmates enough time to stretch our legs at these water stops. Bill Tope Wills We, Mary Alice Ashbaugh and Sandy Boroff, do hereby will the ability to make change in the lunch line without getting mixed up (well, almost, never) to anyone who thinks they are man or woman enough to try it. We, Vickie Cook and Rose Ashton, will to Mr. Friesner an old typing book so that he can learn how to type and not pick on us to do his dirty work . We, Jay Basil and Bill Tope, being of sound mind and perfect physique do hereby will our ability to control our temper to Mr. Jay. We, Judy Boroff and Beverly Pratt, will a bottle of Geritol to Betty Rae Grunden and Gloria Phillips. It ' s supposed to give you Vim, Vigor, and Vitality. Lots of luck girls! (It may even help you grow, Gloria.) We, Ernestine Doster and Rosmaryn Hart, will the record Hello Dolly to Mr. Friesner because he likes it so well that he sings it almost everyday in class.
