They have willingly stood by us in times of victory and defeat, of trials and temptations. We wish to take this op- portunity to thank them, although we never can repay all that they have done. 1964 Galaxy Keith Stoller, Co-editor Dale Laukhuf, Co-editor RAY K, HART Executive Head Shorthand NED R. Class History We, the Class of ' 64, entered Blue Creek High School in 1961 as green freshmen with thirty-five students in our class. We elected the following class officers: President, Rodney Laukhuf; Vice-President, Maurice Sperry; Secretary, Dale Laukhuf; Treasurer, Karen Mosier. During the year we lost Don Conley, Ruth Leeth, and Lydia Rodriquez, leaving us with thirty-two. Our class advisor was Miss Mary Rodgers. We started back to high school in the fall of 1961 as silly, skeptical sophomores. We entered the year with a total of thirty-six students having gained Gerald Blythe, Diana Dull, Terry Harris, and Larry Jewell. We elected the following class officers: President, Rodney Laukhuf; Vice-President, David Laukhuf; Secretary, Diana Dull; Treasurer, Karen Mosier. During the course of the year we lost Rita Guyton, Terry Harris, Charles Gubert, and Larry Jewell, leaving us with thirty-two. Our class advisor was Miss Mary Rodgers. We started back to high school in the fall of 1962 as jolly juniors. We entered the year with thirty-four students, having gained Keta Rust and Keith Stoller. Later in the year we gained Rowena Foust making a total of thirty-five. We elected the following class officers: President, Keith Stoller; Vice-President, David Laukhuf; Secretary, Nylice Miller; Treasurer, Karen Mosier. This year was one of our main money-making years. We had the concession stand, dances, skating parties, and sold magazines. Our class play was entitled Its Great to be Crazy , and was directed by Mr. Floyd Lundy. Our class advisor was Mr. Arthur Darwood. The year we were all waiting for had finally come. We entered high school in the fall of 1963 as sophisticated seniors. We entered the year with a total of thirty- four students, having lost John Saco. Later during the year we lost Rowena Foust, leaving us with thirty-three. We elected the following class officers: President, Keith Stoller; Vice-President, Rodney Laukhuf; Secretary, Lula Mae Hartwig; Treasurer, Karen Mosier. Our class play was entitled Mystery In The Library , and was directed by Mrs. Barbara Wenzinger, and Mr. Clyde Williams. Our class advisor was again Mr. Darwood. This was another big year with dances, skating parties, selling Christmas cards an d the World ' s Fair. This trip will be our last time together before we each go our separate ways. We wish to thank every- one who has helped to make our twelve years of schooling a success. Dan Sinn CLASS PROPHECY Supreme Class of 1964 Raymond Yoh and I have just invented a time machine. By supplying it with present data, we are able to look into the future of our classmates. Here are a few things we saw from the year 1974: First we turned in the machine on the Ohio State Fairgrounds. Jerry Glass was putting on an Auto thrill show in front of the grandstand. Nobody but Gary Wilhelm could keep his cars running. Jerry drives Chevy ' s that he bought from Alan Stoller ' s dealership. After Jerry ' s finale, (he shows films of his high-school driving), Dale Laukhuf brings in the All Ohio Boy ' s Band. The fair midway looks inviting so we focus our machine on the rest of the fair. Isn ' t that Richard Gray in the leopard skin lifting weights? Gee, the governor, Dave Laukhuf, just walked by. Ther ' s another Laukhuf, Rodney, singing rock-n-roll. I always thought he was rather quiet. And now we stray towards Briceton: We just passed over New Bremen and saw Guss Schlatter and Barbara Clemens dragging their motorcycles. Golly, Briceton has grown enough to support Mayor Walt Monroe ' s entire chain of two supermarkets. Susan Lanz manages a beauty salon. She was always a natural leader. Her head beauticians are Diana Dull and Barbara Murphy. We tune in on the Briceton Bullet, edited by Gary Boroff. Between Nylice Miller ' s Gossip column and Lula Mae Hartwigs poetry analysis column, there are many Oldesmobile advertisements. On the sports page we find Maurice Sperry ' s picture. He led the Briceton Brown Sox to another net defeat last night. The next page carries a story about Rear Admiral Dave Yoh. Somebody caught him in the front of the ship. On the same page is John Gray ' s financial report. Howard Baksa and Ronald Bendele ' s Greasy Kid ' s Stuff is up one fourth and Leslie Zielke ' s Electronics Research is down one half up three, and has just split and doubled. I ' m not sure if he is solvent. Now we travel to our dear old Blue Creek High School, which now takes in all of Paulding County. Keta Rust is now the permanent librarian. Richard Pabst is the Industrial Arts teacher and Barb Fry is the home economics teacher. Karen Mosier, who is the health nurse enjoys sticking the children with hypodermic needles. Irene Tarlton, the superintendent, supervises the whole staff, including Dan Sinn, who has a full time job winding the eight -day clock. Leslie Eddy Class Will 1. I, Howard Baksa, will to Linda Taylor the ability to talk in fourth period study hall. 2. I, Gary Boroff, _will_ all the junk in my locker (no. 135) to the school. They may give it back to the ones I borrowed it from. 3. I, Barbara Clemens, do hereby will my Beatle doll Ringo to Susan Rager, so that in her future study halls she can always have him to look at instead of studying his picture all period. 4. I, Diana Dull, will my ability to keep two serious boy friends at the same time to any girl that is dumb enough to take the challenge. 5. I, Leslie Eddy, will to Alfred Hitchock the movie rights of my high school career because he makes such weird movies. 6. I, Barbara Fry, will to Mr. Stanley a set of accounting cards so it might help him to become a better bookkeeping teacher. 7. I, Jerry Glass, will Mr. Darwood my special formula X, which guarantees better grooming results. 8. I, John Gray, will my ability to chew gum during my Senior year without getting caught to Justus Groves. 9. I, Richard Gray, will my ability to get along with referees, which Carl Laukhuf willed to me, to Randy Clemens. 10. I, Lula Mae Hartwig, being of sound mind, will my ability to chew gum and get away with it to Caroline Zeltwanger, in hopes that you won ' t get caught (again!) in your future school years. Good Luck!! 11. We, Susan Lanz and Karen Mosier, will our ability to get all shook up in. the lunch line and give the wrong change to Mary Brady and Sandy Boroff. 12. I, Dale Laukhuf, will my job as co-editor of the Galaxy to anyone who thinks they can handle it. 13. I, David Laukhuf, being of sound mind and perfect physique, will my secret to a strong body to Bill Tope. Just remember Bill, while you were in the house watching me work, you became a weakling. Now look at me! 14. I, Rod Laukhuf, will the correction factors that Connie Tope willed to me, that Diana Mills willed to her, that Jack Hungate willed to her, to Mary Brady. Don ' t stop now, Mary! 15. I, Beth Ann Mcintosh, will my old used saxaphone reeds to Stanley Eddy. Make good use of them, Stan. 16. I, Nylice Miller, will my ability to read Lady Macbeth ' s 12th. speech to Bonnie Foust. Don ' t get too embarrassed, Bonnie. 17. I, Walt Monroe, will to Guss Schlatter a little advice. Guss, my horse power wheel horse you would have a tractor to pull that six bottom, you bought for that 5010. I agree that a John Deere would make a good tractor. Go International! 1 ' 8. I, Bar bara Murphy, being of sound mind, I think, will my extra ordinary ability to write love letters, to the most deserving of my Home Ec. classmates: Judy Boroff, Ernie Doster, Bev Pratt, Connie Webster, Irene Tarolton, Elaine Taner, Barb Fry, and Mary Dunham. Enjoy this talent girls, it doesn ' t happen to everyone. 19. I, Keta Rust, will my ability to talk in home room and study halls (and get away with it) and never have a day of detention, to Lois Taylor and ' Brenda Fisher Good luck girls, you need it! 20. I, Guss Schlatter, hereby will a quart of milk to Bobby Friesner in hopes that it will nurse his ulcers to better health. 22. I, Dan Sinn, will my old typing practice pad to Darrell Rhoad, in hopes that by the end of next year he will be able to type 40 words a minute. 23. I, Maurice Sperry, Will my ability to grow tall to Jack Rogers. 24. I, Alan Stoller, will Mrs. Wenzinger a bottle of sodium hydroxide, so the next time some wise guy spills hydrochloric acid she can neutralize it. 25. I, Keith Stoller, being of unquestionably sound mind and equally unquestionably flabby body, do hereby will to next year ' s yearbook editor the ability, or lack of same, to meet all yearbook deadlines. I also will him the ability to take all of Mr. William ' s insults and acid remarks with a grain of NaCL. 26. I, Irene Tarlton, will my ability to get lost in Fort Wayne to Ernestine Doster. It ' s easy isn ' t it, Ernie? 27. I, Gary Wilhelm will my ability to stay in the library the fourth period all year to anyone who will take it. 28. I, David Yoh, being of sound mind, will my unused Senior Scholastic magazines to John Saco to read in Government next year. 29. I, Raymond Yoh, will my smile to Mrs. Wenzinger because she did not have much chance to use hers this year in chemistry. 30. I, Leslie Zielke, will my ability to mess around in Chemistry class and get away with it, to anyone who thinks he can have more fun than I did.
