This was the year that the long-awaited classroom annex and cafeteria were completed. This was the year that our football team won its second AVC trophy and its first RODEO BOWL, This was the year that the Student Cotmcil, via the installment plan, installed the P, A, System. Too, in our memories are pictures and impressions somewhat vague, suggestions of familiar instances somehow remembered . . . the banging of locker doors . . . the sound of Charlene's bugle. , , the smell of cherry pies baking in the cafeteria , . , the days for making book reports . . . the vigor of the junior high during lunch . , , the scramble for refreshments during the break , , , the smug feeling that's yours if all your homework is finished , . . the last minute cramming for semester exams . . . the pep rallies before the Bristol and Chattahoochee games . . . the sound of Pluto-phones between 2:30 and 3:00 o'clock . , .
