SENIORS HENRY MARINI President of the Class of 95 3 My Fellow Graduates: It is time to take leave of our friendly hilltop alma mater. In so doing, we take with us much more than the degree which symbolizes our academic achievement. With us we take things less tangible but infinitely more treasured; learnings, ideals, friend- ships, and memories. Richer by t hese measures we face the world beyond our campus. It is a world rich in promise and opportunity. Its many problems and fears we inherit and endeavor to solve and allay. To the growth of this world it is our task to contribute in material and moral development. It was Pope who so aptly phrased the thought: As the twig is bent; the tree ' s inclined. As teach- ers we become benders of twigs, for the seeds of thought we sow in young minds will grow and blossom in tomorrow ' s world. It has been a privilege to serve in the office you have granted me: for that privilege I should like to thank you. To all of you I extend my most sincere congratulations and the hope that your life will be a happy and fruitful one. Henry Marini, President, Class of 19 } Left to Right, Sitting — M.
