A T I O N To THE MeMBIRS of THE Class of 1953 The primary purpose of the State Teachers College at Bloomsburg is the preparation of successful teachers. Its programs of initial and continuous selection, the improvement of instruc- tion and facilities, and the placement records indicate to no small degree the attainment of this goal. It is our sin- cere hope that our graduates will con- tinue to expand and intensify their knowledge and understanding of chil- dren, of school problems, and of effec- tive teaching procedures. It is my personal wish that many members of the Class of 195 3 will be cited by great men and women of future Penn- sylvania and America as having been responsible for their individual success.
