YI YQ The 1954 edition of the Bloomsburg High School football squad was not the winningest team in the school's history, but they were the spunkiest, most -inspi- rational bunch of guys you could ever put into football uniforms. The highlight of their season came when they upset a highly favored Selinsgrove eleven at Athletic Park. The defeat knocked the Seals out of the Susquehanna League race. Playing without the services of left-halfback, Mac Whitenight, the home town gridders went to the air with Len Yorty literally filling the air with foot- balls. The game ended with the Panthers holding a 25 to 14 lead. The Red and White machine also threw a real scare into the Berwick boys before bowing. 25 to 13. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Cox for the wonderful job he has done and extend to him and his assistants the best of luck for 1955. We know they'll produce the tops. 93 VARSITY FOOTBALL llrat rom left tm right Jim Ktlltr Lharlz I r r min Tom Poumt Dxmmy Mlrlno'-.
