Service With Sight And Sound 'LUnknown voicesu soon became ufamiliar voicesj' as members of the Speakeris Bureau read the daily announcements over the P.A. system. Other opportunities the members had were to in- troduce all convocations, to handle P.A. duties at basketball games, and to broadcast the school newscast on WTTS. The Hvoicesw who led the club's activities were Fred Miller, presidentg Suzanne Whaley, vice- presidentg Karlene Scheibner, secretary-treasurerg and Mrs. Elizabeth Latimer, sponsor. Working at the ball games, after game dances, pep sessions, convos, and all other school func- tions which required the use of the P.A. equip- ment were some of the activities of the Audio- Visual Staff this year. Slap that paint! and Hammer that nailln were the cries heard backstage as members of the Tech Staff carried out their roles as uhandymeni' of the Bloomington High School dramatics department. With originality, industry, and co-operation, they transformed the stage into a crude cabin, a court room, and a lunatic asylum. Officers were Sally Rugg, presidentg Suzanne Whaley, vice-presidentg Scotty Head secretary- treasurer. The sponsor is Miss Sharon Hannum. Act well your part, there all honor liesi' is the motto of the National Thespian Dramatic Honorary Society. With this motto as their by-word, the Thespians enjoyed a successful and eventful year. Two comedies and a drama were presented during the year. Kathy Raab and Sally Rugg were elected in their sophomore years and Suzanne Whaley in her junior year. The Photo Club trained interested students to print and develop pictures. Did you ever notice the photo exhibits that were posted in the main hall by this club? These pictures were national contest winners. The officers: Butch Helms, president, Bill Pritchett, vice-presidentg and Nancy Ennis, secretary-treasurerg were aided by Mr. Cosser, sponsor. The Art Club presented a scholarship and medallion to the most outstanding senior in art and to the most promising student in art this school year. Since the club had a larger number of members than in past years, its activities were more extensive. One ofthe club's biggest projects was helping to decorate for the All-School Dance. A great help in the planning and carrying out of this work was lVlrs. Rabb, sponsor. The officers for this school year were Bill Bruce, presidentg and Gloria Faris, vice-president.
