Slap that paint! and Hammer that nailln were the cries heard backstage as members of the Tech Staff carried out their roles as uhandymeni' of the Bloomington High School dramatics department. With originality, industry, and co-operation, they transformed the stage into a crude cabin, a court room, and a lunatic asylum. Officers were Sally Rugg, presidentg Suzanne Whaley, vice-presidentg Scotty Head secretary- treasurer. The sponsor is Miss Sharon Hannum. Act well your part, there all honor liesi' is the motto of the National Thespian Dramatic Honorary Society. With this motto as their by-word, the Thespians enjoyed a successful and eventful year. Two comedies and a drama were presented during the year. Kathy Raab and Sally Rugg were elected in their sophomore years and Suzanne Whaley in her junior year. 'Officers were Sally Rugg, presidentg Kathy Raab, vice-presidentg and Suz- anne Whaley, secretary-treasurer. Miss Sharon Hannum is the sponsor. Rugg. Lights! Camera! Action! The film rolls to take movies of the Proscenium Players' three-act play and the all important senior play which were shown at the club's last meeting. Being one of the busiest clubs around, they presented 'GA Remarkable lnci- dent at Carsons Cornerw for their three-act play, Hlloom For the Prince for a Christmas convo' and a one-act play for Drama Night. As if this wasn't enough to keep them busy, the members planned and staged their own talent show. The year was topped off with a picnic at which the coveted Proscenium Players, awards were presented. We could sum up the activities of this club as busy, busy, busy! Officers in charge of production were Richard Wampler, presidentg Karlene Scheibner, vice-presi- dentg and Terri Bruce, secretary-treasurer. They were greatly aided by Miss Sharon Hannum, sponsor. Service With Sight And Sound 'LUnknown voicesu soon became ufamiliar voicesj' as members of the Speakeris Bureau read the daily announcements over the P.A. system. Other opportunities the members had were to in- troduce all convocations, to handle P.A. duties at basketball games, and to broadcast the school newscast on WTTS. The Hvoicesw who led the club's activities were Fred Miller, presidentg Suzanne Whaley, vice- presidentg Karlene Scheibner, secretary-treasurerg and Mrs. Elizabeth Latimer, sponsor. Working at the ball games, after game dances, pep sessions, convos, and all other school func- tions which required the use of the P.A. equip- ment were some of the activities of the Audio- Visual Staff this year. The boys were recognized at Honor Day for their outstanding service to the school. Crew heads were John Helms and Tom Swafford. Mr. Leon Whaley was the sponsor.
