26 President Phil Deckard conducts one Of the many Student Council meetings. The STUDENT COUNCIL allows students to have a voice in making and enforcing school policies. The goal is to promote better co-operation between students and teachers. Two students are elected from a home- room to serve as representatives to the council. One representative is then elected from each grade level to serve on the Executive Council. The student Council sponsored many of the after- game dances, the annual Homecoming, and the bundle drive for needy children overseas. This year the Student Council again sponsored the Winter Carnival. Funds were to be used for school improvements. The annual All-School Dance was the climax of the year,s activities. Officers for this year were Phil Deckard, president; Bill Bissey, vice-president; Susan Shawver, recording secretary; Barbara Clark, corresponding secretary; and Steve Parrish, treasurer. Members of the Executive Board were Jim Richardson, Larry Canada, Tom Hines, Shirlee Cook, Suzanne Bruce, and Robert Waldon. Mr. Carl Stewart was the adviser.
