The girls were try- ing desperately hard to appear accustomed to this sort of thing. They had saved their money and were off on their own e anxious to prove how mature they had become. Good-byes were said, the ship sailed, and the girls were on their own at last. They had an exciting adventure with a Stowaway, mistook the leader of the ship,s band for an admiral, took all sorts of fancy seasick remedies, and then met two handsome young medical students. As the ship neared shore, Cornelia began to feel sick. The medical students immediately diagnosed the trouble as measles. Cornelia was horrified. Somehow they would have to get her past the medical inspector. Cornelia had to exercise all the make-up skill she had. The act she put on in front of the bewildered medical inspector was a riot. The girls finally managed to get by the inspector and they were off to Paris. ' There they get involved with a gas meter that exploded, slept in a bed that Cardinal Richelieu once used, and tried to convince a great French actor that he should give them acting lessons. These are but a few of the wonderful moments in the senior class play of 1958.
