Stuuiling: Kenny Simpson, twelfth grade repre- sentativeg Tom Thompson, eleventh grade representative: Bob Borutf, ninth grade representativeg Mike Seitlinger. eighth grade representative. The S TU D E NT COUNCIL adopted a Bloomington High Creed and Code of Ethics. This outline for a happy and successful high school career encouraged student conduct that would command re- spect. The Creed encouraged punctu- aliry, honesty, self-discipline, and participation in extra curricular ac- tivities in order to prepare for lead- ership. The Code encouraged re- spect for rules and regulations of the school, respect for property belonging to others, and diligence for school work. In the Code of Ethics the students agreed to apply the Golden Rule during school and community functions. Page tweniy-two The S T U D E N T COUNCIL sponsored April in Paris, the an- nual All-School Dance, which was conducted on April 5 in the B.H.S. gymnasium. Bright colors and flow- ers painted the atmosphere of spring while the BIG FOUR featuring Marvin Chandler, a B.H.S. gradu- ate, played music. To finance the All-School Dance the Student Council sponsored after game rec- ord dances during the winter. The Student Council in addition sponsored several charity drives and a clean-up week. B.H.S. students donated 1265 pounds of clothing to the Save the Children Federation, a relief fund for needy children all over the world. This page sponsored by GEORGE FREEMAN MARATHON SERVICE
