Blue Triangle 'LThe Y-Teen Chooses Her Lifeis XVork was the Blue Triangle theme for this year. The or- ganization, consisting of junior and senior girls, is a branch of the Young XVomenis Christian Association, and also a continuation of the Y-Teens and Silver Triangle. The purpose of Blue Triangle is to promote service, friendship, and religious interests. An initiation ceremony gave the year an im- pressive beginning. Guest speakers were heard at two meetings this year. One speaker talked on church Work and one on the Armed Forces. Other programs were an educational movie on nursing, a lively panel discussion on stage, radio, and television, a skit given about ofilice work, and a very profitable program showing work in the home. An installation ceremony was held for the new officers during the April meeting. The Blue Triangle Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Sarah F ranklin, gave a Christmas pro- gram, and also presented a harmonious Easter program. Each year a scholarship is awarded to a senior member of Blue Triangle, who has shown much interest and who has Worked very hard on the clubls activities. The candy table situated in the front hall after school provided the money for the scholarship which pays thc studentis fees for one semester at Indiana University. At the last meeting of the year a service plaque is always awarded to an outstanding senior member of Blue Triangle by the student who received the plaque the preceding year. The requirements for this plaque are: cooperation, dependability, atti- tude, service given to the club, and practice of the goals. Mrs. Sarah Franklin sponsors the club.
