Photography Dexheimer-Carlon Studio and Glen Adams Published annually by the Senior Class GOTHIC REPORTS Something new in the way of yearbooks is presented in the Gothic of 1942. This year the Gothic has adopted the style and pattern of several popular magazines, well known to students. The division pages feature the cover designs of these magazines: the index being modeled after the Readers Digest: the Facul- ty section, after Time: Classes, after Life: Athletics, after Newsweek: and clubs, after Vogue. p Like the magazines, the Gothic has focused attention on activities. The camera man has caught athletes in action, clubs in session, seniors and faculty in familiar haunts, and scenes from leading plays and convocations. Accompanying each organization picture is a short, informal account of the activities of each group during the current school year. That the accomplishments of B. H. S. or- ganizations have been significant and many is clearly revealed in these write-ups. Mem- bers of these organizations are to be con- gratulated. All students and teachers, with a few exceptions, have their pictures in this book. Besides the portraits, there are included many snapshots of students in natural poses. The Gothic is a product of the entire school. Without splendid cooperation from administrators, teachers, and pupils the pub- lication of this book would not have been possible. To the 850 subscribers and to the 100 busi- ness men who contributed to the financial success of the Gothic the staff extends its sincerest thanks. The staff hopes that you will read the Gothic as You would your favorite magazine and that you will turn to it again and again in the future as a book truly representative of life in Bloomington High School during 1941-1942.
