SCUCCI 1933 CLASS OFFICERS I.-eft to Right—William Stout. President; Ruth Thompson. Secretary; Robert Bad- ertscher. Vice President; Sarah Snyder. Treasurer. THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1933 On April 25, 1932. the class of 1933 cast ballots, electing: William Stout, president: Robert Badertscher. vice president; Ruth Thompson, secretary; and Sarah Snyder, treasurer. The class later selected as its sponsors: Stella Rouse and William Ferguson. An early class meeting set the date of the annual Junior-Senior party for May 17. This festivity differed from the customary banquet of pre- vious years, and took the form of a picnic which was held at the Brown County State Park. Shortly after the fall session of school opened, a class meeting was held to decide whether or not the class desired, for financial reasons, to publish an annual. An overwhelming assenting majority resulted in the subsequent election of James Cathcart, “GOTHIC” editor, and Donald Woolery, “GOTHIC” business manager. During the first semester, a successful play, “Take My Advice”, was presented by a praiseworthy cast. During the fall term, however, the most meritorious activity of the Senior Class was the lead taken by the Class in the Christmas Charity Drive. Charles McDaniels, Ellen Murphy. Wilma Jean Schmalz. and William Stout, with George Blair, a junior, who served as chairman of the committee, are to be praised for their coopera- tive endeavors to bring Christmas cheer to the needy of the city. The ac- tivities of the semester were climaxed by a novel Senior mixer” taking the form of a prosperity carnival. During the second semester, another play, The Patsy”, was given. Both the play and its cast won much commendation for excellency. This, we. the class of 1933. respectfully submit as a summary of our activities during our Senior year. Leaving the school wherein we have spent our past four years, we sincerely hope that we have contributed to the spirit of the school, something which will remain long after we leave. For us, those years will remain silhouetted forever in our memories. (17)
