THE GOTHIC '24 WAMPLLZR Red was another basketball man who stayed out till the end of the season. He was a hard fighter. He played center and taekle. XV EAV ICR, Gib at center was one of the best in this part of Indiana. Ile was an ac-- eurate passer and kept his head in the thick of the fight. Ile will he baek next year. POLAND Dad is largely responsible for the football team this year. Early in the year he started the practice and without a man who had any football experience he helped to develop a very creditable team. ESAREY Coach Esarey reinstated football last fall after an absence of fourteen years. The very best equipment was provided. Esarey laid the founda- tions for winning teams in the sea- sons to come. The sc-bool had been without a team ever since the days of Cliff NVells, and his famous team. Technical proved to be too big a bite for the young Purple to take all at once, but in due time the locals appeared on Jordan field, and sent the Colum- bus Bulldogs home with the short end of a nine to three score. But the Dob- binsnien waited for the Bloomington team, and reversed the order of things in the return game.
