1982-83 Belinda Reyes, a Senior at BHS was selected Miss BHS. Belinda has been a member of the Student Council her Soph.-Sr. year. She was also Freshman class treasurer and Junior Class Vice-President. She has participated in Band 4 years, Athletics 2 years, and FFA 2 years. Belinda was formerly selected Miss Sophomore, Miss Junior, Miss Flame and Homecom- ing Princess for 1982. Belinda plans to attend Victoria Beauty College and is going into the field of cosmetology. Robert Liserio, a Senior at BHS was selected Mr. BHS. Robert served as Junior Class President and as Senior Class President. He was also selected Most Likely to Succeed. Robert has also participated in the Science Club, Drama Club, and in the Letter- man ' s Club. Robert plans to attend college and his goal is to be successful. Elisa Hamilton, a Senior at BHS was selected Most Talented Girl. Elisa ' s first two years of high school were spent at Harlingen High. Elisa joined BHS her Junior year. She has received All Star Dist. Cast, All Star Area Cast, and 1st place in district poetry. She is President of the Thespian Troupe 160, a member of Drama Club, Stage Band pianist, and was selected for Bluebonnet Girls ' State. Elisa wishes to attend Victoria College where she plans to take part in the band and choral pro- grams. She event ually plans to teach high school choir. Roddie Escobar, a Senior at BHS was selected Most Talented Boy. Roddie has played Basketball 2 years and run track 3 years. He has been a member of VICA for 2 years and is President for the 82-83 school year. Roddie has also been a member of Drama Club and Letterman ' s Club. He was also selected FHA Beau. Roddie hopes to be an electrician.

B.H.S. Favorites Darlene Schoener, a Senior at BHS was selected Most Spirited Girl. During her years at BHS she was also elected Brilliant Fish, Studious Sophomore, Most Scholarly Junior, Most Likely to Succeed, and Most Outgoing. She has been in Student Council for 3 years, and served as President her Senior year. She also participated in Athletics for 4 years. Darlene plans to attend San Antonio College for 2 years and then finish at the University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Computer Science. EIroy Alex, a Senior at BHS was selected Most Spirited. He was also selected Cheerleader Beau. Elroy has played football 4 years and basketball 2 years. He has been a member of Drama Club for 2 years, and FFA for 4 years. He has also been in Let- terman ' s Club and VICA Club. Elroy plans to attend a trade school, possibly TSTI in Waco, specializing in welding. Gracie Ortiz, a Senior at BHS was selected Most Beautiful Girl. Gracie has been a member of the Drill Team, Spanish Club, Drama Club, Science Club, FTA, Art Club, Pep Squad, and Journalism. Gracie was also selected one of the 82-83 Homecom- ing Princesses. Gracie plans to attend Victoria Beauty College and specialize in cosmetology. Robert Liserio, a Senior at BHS was selected Most Handsome. Robert has also been selected Brilliant Fish, Studious Sophomore, Most Scholarly Junior, and Mr. Senior in former years. Robert was also selected as alternate for Boys ' State his Junior year. He also participated in FFA for 3 years. Robert plans to attend college and his goal in life is to be successful.
