Bobcat ' 83 ■ ■ H I H, ' 1 4 m We, the 83 yearbook staff, hope that you choose to take the time and read this page, for it is through these words that we hope to explain to you exactly what this book is, or at least what it was meant to be, and how it came about. We started this book with plenty of big dreams and hugh expectations and very little experience at this sort of thing. By some odd twist of fate it came to be. The silver lining on our clouds of fantasy soon faded away and it rained — poured to be more exact. The work load became too heavy and many of our dreams turned into nightmares. But, we bore the load and pulled it through. Without this dedication, this book would have never been — and that would have been a certain pity. This annual, like all other annuals, is dedicated to the people and events that made one year of our lives very special. We don ' t pretend to have captured every moment that made this year what it was. The best that we can hope to do is give you something to help preserve your memories. A single picutre of a close friend can bring back a flood of good feelings and happy memories long after the friend is gone. The people in this book are special people, and to us that makes it a special book. Enjoy the book for what it is and come walk through B.H.S. BLOOMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL Lisa Boehm — Co- Editor Tiki Glover — Co-Editor Tammy Targac — Business Manager Rumaldo Martin — Picture Editor, Asst. Photographer Nora Vaszuez — Picture Editor; Lay-out Gracie Ortiz — Picture Editor Elisa Hamilton — Picture Editor Rainey Squyres — Copyist Chip Allbee — Lay-out Mrs. Lynda Hudson — Sponsor Here is the 1982-83 Annual Staff in all it ' s glory. Although we are happy in the picture, there were times when we weren ' t so ready to smile! During the year we attended a workshop to learn new methods and techniques. In deciding a theme we had many interesting suggestions, and we came up with one that we thought was very good. We also sponsored the cover contest, which got some very good entries; however, we chose the one which best suited our purposes. This annual is the product of many hours of hard work; we hope you will enjoy it now and in the years to come. The 1982-83 school year was a combination of fun and work. Throughout the year the students managed to find ways to entertain and enjoy themselves. They studied, they dressed-up, they spent time with their friends, and they ate. David was only a member of the FFA for a short while, but he will be remembered for a long time to come by all of us who knew him. Because of David ' s hap- piness, he affected everyone who knew him. David was always willing to help anyone no matter what needed to be done. He strove to be the best he could be in whatever he did. This is evidenced by the Waida Sportsmanship Award he won the past two years in a row and the hog showmanship award he won at the ' 83 Victoria Stock Show. David ' s willingness to work, his honesty, diligence in all he undertook, and his friendliness will serve as an example for present and future FFA members to follow. David will be honored each year through the David Anderle Memorial Award which will be given to an outstanding FFA member such as David was when he was with us. We will miss you, David, for you were a ray of bright sunshine in our rather dark and confusing lives. . 00 mSJOCKSHOW SCRAMBLE 19B3 f Hee Haw Featured on Western Day It ■ ' ■H i w B a • .- • 5 ■A i . ■ _ Miss Cowgirl — Brenda Reyes Debbie is known for her tales.
