Mrs. Rood and Mr . Jackson made use of fh« language lab. Sophomore Linguists? How do you say I'm hungry in French? . . . Gesundheit! . . . Parlez vous Francais? . . . Habla usted espanol? . . . Sprechen sie Deutsch? . . . Oui .. . Si . . . Jawohl . . . Et tu Brute! . .. Oh, I hope she doesn't call on me! ... I know I'll never be able to speak this language! ... I thought French was supposed to be romantic! . . . Don't you just love Latin? ... Poinh of interest were introduced by means of the map of France. II Mrs. Kirilul introduced some new verbs to her Spanish class.

Thoso journaliim students wore obviously engrossed in the tamo tort of thinking— or was if thinking in thit instance? Journalism kept pace with most activities . . . There were tome pentive momentt. too. Sometimet a girl just had to daydream. Above the noise Mrs. Stainer's voice, This is one • of those times we have to settle down and work ... What? Copy deadline today? . . . Security is Bob Anderson's briefcase . . . Please, can't I go interview the Dave Clark Five? . . . hard work ... . no work . . . Did Jody Smith really drink the coffee pot cleaner last year? Oh, well, I suppose anything is better than Steve's coffee . . . Mike Norling—ever vigilant with his camera . . . But is it ethical to print? ... I know you are nice, brilliant, and good looking, but why can't you learn to write? Parents ware always on hand fo be briefed on the workings of journalism. Page 10 Journolism classes, as were most others during this hectic year, were crowded. This group of Mrs. Stainer's students was involved in discussions of news coverage. Mrs. Stainer proved that “good photographers will go to any length to get a picture.

Insistent and fKo best! Mr. Boehme, language department head and widely recognized German instructor in the Lake Conference, kept hit students on their mettle from hour to hour. Enthusiasm and proficiency were his trademarks. Page Language teachers made us talk like native Frenchmen, Germans. Spaniard1 and Romans . . . almost. They are: Mr. R. Boehme, Mrs. A. Lee. Mrs. K Stewart. Miss W. Johnson, Miss L Saloschin, and Mrs. M. Kiriluk. 12
