lnstructing is the work of a teacher. To teach all of the youth of all of the people of all of the community the things which will enable them to become better persons and to help them to achieve their proper place in society - these are the aims of a teacher. Although each member of the staff was 'equali- fiedi' as a teacher, each and every one of them continued his eiforts to improve himself. The teachers attended principal's meetings, depart- ment conferences, and guidance seminars. Most of the instructors participated in institutes, work- shops, and university classes to gain new ideas and further insight. In every instance, teachers were discussing, studying, and trying to improve the schoolis ever-changing curriculum to better meet the needs of their students. Furthermore, the faculty faithfully attended monthly Parent-Teacher Association meetings, and welcomed parents' suggestions and ques- tions at numerous open house visitations. They conducted a multitude of individual parent con- ferences. In these many meetings with parents, the helpful instructors thoughtfully tried to in- terpret the abilities, aptitudes, and achievements of youth. By doing this, teachers helped to strengthen the bond of parent-teacher-student relationships. , -my . .V W, f.,.
