As the year progressed, the administrators and others in the school came to realize what a tremendous job the Blooming- George N. Academic Unit The two-story academic unit contained class- rooms, the homemaking suite, science labora- tories, business instruction areas, library, and central administrative offices. Every room was designed especially for more effective instruction in specific subjects. Science, business, and home economics laboratories were large enough in number and area to accommodate student needs. The centrally located library and adjacent study areas permitted freedom of movement and formed a uquiet placeii for study. Major advan- tages of the central administrative and student personnel offices were their proximity to each other and their central location in the building. 41'
