Due fo fhe sudden deafh of his mofher, Rubinoff posfponed his con- cerf indefinifely. This caused much disappoinfmenf among fhe sfudenfs. The Seniors began a series of meef- ings fo help fhem plan eifher for col- lege or a vocafion. There was a panel discussion on fhe pros and cons of college. Through fhese meefings sen- iors are assisfed in fheir decisions for fhe fufure. RAIDERS 25 NORMAL 7 The sfudenfs of B.H.S. wenf wild as fheir underdog foofball feam pad- dled Normal's lronmen fo fhe fune of 25-7. The firsf half of fhe game wenf scoreless, buf midway in fhe fhird frame Ray Thomas scurried around righf end for a 45 yard fouchdown. Then Miller scampered over from fhe Normal's nine for fhe Raiders second T.D. Normal fhen scored off fhe Raid- ers fackle and fhe score was I2 - 7. Nexf came fhe play of fhe season for fhe Raiders, fhe play of real feam work and cooperafion. Miller fook Normal's kickoff on his own four yard line and galloped 96 yards for a fouchdown. Every Raider on fhe field blocked and fhe lronmen fell hard and fasf. Sherman Brown supplied one of fhe key blocks when he cuf down fhree lronmen. An assembly was presenled on Thursday wifh fhe fheme of Armislice Day. The program consisled of var- ious ensembles and lhe A Cappella choir. Miss Mary Selk conducled 'lhe music groups wilh a chosen sl'uden'l 'lo acl as mas+er of ceremonies. The M. C. gave various readings perfaining fo Armislice Day during differenf paris of fhe program. This program was made mosf impressive when 'lhe choir sang in lhe background a mel- ody of popular songs during 'lhe las+ war. Friday nife fhe Raiders played 'lheir lasl game of +he season wifh lhe Pekin Chinks. Again, lhe Raiders were handed anolher loss. This game was +he final one for 'lhe senior boys in Raider uniform. -24
