Five members of our class have spent their entire school career together. They are Eugene Nel- son, Delores Foster, Phyllis Simerl, Norma Jean Noble, and Mary Lewis. Time really flew as we were promoted through the grades, and came the high point of our grade career, the eighth-grade tests. Several of us received honors in the tests, When we became Juniors we received our class rings. Our play, The Ghost of a Chance, on October 26, brought to light the Thespian talent of the Class of '52, On April 27, we gave a banquet for the Seniors, We are finally Seniors Many have dropped out of school and there are now only fourteen of us But the small number is no in dlC3I10l'l of our participation in Sports Music and other School Activities Our class has excelled in these lines and will long be remembered individually and collectively The class play on the 8th of May was one of the final contributions to our record in the annals of Bloomingburg High School We want to thank all of the teachers who have helped us along the way and especially Mrs Elliott who has guided us so wisely It is she who will chaperone and direct our trip to Washington D C New York and Atlantic City Soon we shall be on Life s Hlghway We shall always think of our Happy School Days There is much to which we look for ward Keeping this in mind we should think of our class motto Not for Ourselves but for All Paul Bennett . , 7 ll ll A Q C 33W? Upon each boy and girl we'l1 try to touch And tell his story, though it isn't much. Paul was born with brains, His efforts ever resulted in gains. D. D. is quite a girl, She has all the boys in a whirl. I think Eddie will be a mechanic, Because he's never in a panic. Ronald is quite studious, so it appears, From the grades he's earned all these years Every Class should have a Mary, So quiet, she seems like a fairy. Macky is a farmer, indeed, He knows all about each little seed. Eugene is quite a scream, To all the girls he is a dream. Now Norma is planning to be a wife, And hopes to pep up Robert's life. Phyllis hopes to go to College, To learn a lot of knowledge. Now Blanche is sweet as she can be, She's a brunette as you can see. ,,.,... pf l Christina is a brilliant girl, Her many talents she will unfurl. Rachel, better known as Ruth, Seems always to tell the truth. Bonnie can't wait till the last day For the two words she's waiting to say, Let's not forget our teacher, kind and true, Mrs. Elliott, here's a cheer for you. Improving on Webster stenoggapher--a girl you pay to learn to spell while she's look- ing for a husband. - -the ability to smile when you suddenly discover that your best pal and your girl are both missing from the dance floor. The Dance The rhumba is adance where the front of you goes along nice 8a smooth like a Cadillac 8a the back of you makes like a jeep, Me-o-u-w! One Girl to Another: Of course Ihad to tell her she look- ed like a million and I meant every year of it. - - Phyllis Simerl A for Answer Mrs. Elliott: Paul, give me a sentence with an object in it. Paul: You are very beau- tiful. Mrs. Elliott: What is the object? Paul: To get a good grade. Warning Mrs. Biddle: Yes, K. O., what is it? K. O.: I don'twant to scare you, Mrs. Biddle, but Pop says if ldon't get a'better grade someone is going to get a licking. Unromantic Thought She sat on the bridge ,in the moonlight and ftickled his face with her toes, for she was just a mosquito, and the bridge was the bridge of his nose. eg gals ,mm ess ees M 2f f?f : 55' iisfrii: 8s 4 5? :M T it '. , t if -55 'E:' 55 E5 WEA? Q -.-.- t . f i t f Emma Senior Prophecy I, Adulah Paduca McDonald, possess many great powers of magic and am the only real master of the magic carpet, Seat Smacker . I call my carpet that because when it lands, it hits the ground with such a hard thump. Iwoniier' if my classmates of the graduating class of 1952, have been so successful in life as I? 'Magic carpet soar up high as a bird can fly! Take me to each of my classmates. I want to see what they have achieved in this year of 1962. The Seat Smacker is landing in Reno, Nevada! There is D. D. Foster, the poor old maid, but maybe not for long for she is the president of the Lonely Hearts Club. The magic carpet is flying toward a big circus tent and is landing near a side show, Oh! look at that pretty girl charming those big snakes! As I get closer I see none other than Phyllis Simerl. I hadn't been flying long when the Seat Smacker stopped suddenly in the city of Bloomingburg, Ohio. Now who in the world could that be? Why, it's Ronald Lee, with six little Lee's following him. Back onto the Seat Smacker and away to Paris, France. Where are all those people going? I'll have to go along. There is Rachael Trenner, a famous ballet dancer, appearing in a movie which she made in America, Here I am back in America with Seat Smacker landing near the Farm Bureau Co- op of Washington Court House, Ohio. There Norma Jean Noble is operating a very funny machine - Inever would have dreamed it - taking the heads off chickens. Seat Smacker is dropping rapidly and heading for a ring, Wow! that was a close one. I wonder what would have happened if I had fallen into that ring with those girls, Don't I know one of those girls? Bonnie Waugh! The undisputed wrestling champion of America. Seat Smacker is landing near a large building in San Fran- cisco, California. In this building Christina Snodgrass ,operates a shop for sheeting dogs, clipping their nails, and knits bright sweaters for them. Why am I here, surely one of my classmates isn't in one of those cameras? Oh! there is Paul Bennett singing. The television an- nouncer tells me that he is considered to have a better voice than Mario Lanza. This Seat Smacker surely gets around. I am in the most high classed district in New York. Look how slowly that man is working. What is he doing? He seems to be inspecting the gar- bage cans. Oh my! that is Eugene Nelson. He tells me that he is a garbage inspector ofthe most high classed district in the city. I had ridden Seat Smacker' for only one and one-half min- utes when it suddenly stopped on a beautiful yacht cruising on Lake Michigan. Gee Whiz! I just can't believe it. A member of my class owning such a magnificent boat, Ilearned that Mary Lewis owned this yacht. Mary had married a man who has been very successful in business as a manufacturer of formfit girdles. The Seat Smacker thumped onto the ground near a big packing company in Tampa, Florida. Standing in the doorway of this packing company was Eddie Halterman. He told me that he has just completed a big business transaction in which he has taken over the Pickeled Pigs' Feet Packing Company. The Seat Smacker smacked the ground harder than ever in Bloomingburg, Ohio. The magic carpet must have got mixed up some way for it was here once before to show me Ronald Lee. Now who do you suppose the magic carpet almost forgot? What does that sign say? Skaggs' Garage! Oh, now I remember Blanche Skaggs. I went into the garage to see Blanche and I found her under an automobile. As I was leaving the garage I noticed sev- eral signs scattered about which advertised her mechanical ability, such as Come to Skaggs to get rid of the waggs. Then I ordered the Seat Smacker to take me home. Upon arrival Iwas greeted by my wife and children. My wife told me to sit down and rest for a while, but I told her that I would rather stand because I had been riding the Seat Smacker all day. ,ff -:::3sgi5:1:e:g:.A, - --'-' 5::z.::a::: Q53 arf is llll it s ?w ..:3, 3 5533551 ,S :J 'Q Z iii?
