The student council is made up of students from each grade, four seniors, three juniors, three sophomores, three freshmen, one eighth grader and one seventh grad- er. The three juniors remain through their senior year and one senior is elected each year. The purpose of our student council is to make our school a better school. Its duties are to provide noon hour entertainment, plan the social calendar, operate the coke machine, plan the concession schedule, organize and plan any drive, as the polio drive of last year, our student council decides, plans or organizes any new situ ation that may arise, for example, our good grooming program. the problem of how many cheerleaders we should have, or who should be admitted to our school dances. The meetings are held every third Friday of each month and special meetings are held if necessary. Officers are chosen from the senior members. Every year a convention is held. This year it was held in Grand Meadow. The four senior members at- tended, accompanied by Mr. Ackerwold, advisor. -. ROW 1 LEFT to RIGHT J Hanson, J Oleson, R Anderson, S Jensen. ROW 2 R.
