“7913257 President --------------- - - Mary Torrey Vice President ---------- - - - Patty Carter Secretary ----------------- Charles HcCombs Treasurer ----------- ----- Kenneth Edwards Social Chairman ---- ----------- William Donor We spent some time at the beginning of the year practicing an assembly program, which portrayed Duffy's Inn. Never will we forget Charlie Linn fearlessly walking that high rope, nor will we for- get Eddie Doutt as Mrs. Duffy. As we were financially minded this year, most of our time was spent earning money for the prom and banquet. We sold gift wrapping paper, sponsored two dinners, and sold candy. The junior play en- titled, 'Sing For Your Supper,' directed by Miss Hineo, proved to be a success. The last night of the play ended with regret yet with a sat- isfied feeling of achievement, We celebrated afterwards by having a hay ride at Richard King's. The greatest event of the year, was our prom and banquet held May 6, l949,at which our class began the tradition of crowning a May Queen and King. With a satisfied feeling that the prom and banquet had been one of the most successful, the juniors ended their work for the school year. The last lap of our journey began September, 1949. Mr. Pratt was our advisor. We elected: President ------------------- Glenn B own Vice President ---- - - - ------ William Donor Secretary - - - - ------------ Ruth Brown Treasurer ------ --------- Charles Hccrillis Social Chairman ---------------- Mary Torrey We started the year by having pictures taken and ordering com- mencement cards and announcements. There were a few money- m a k i'n g schemes. A Halloween party featuring a House of Terror was held, and magazine subscriptions were sold. Directed by Mr. Pratt, we presented the three-act play, 'Home Sweet Homicide, on November 21 and 22, 1949. The question of what to do after the play and where we would go was brought up. For the first time in the history of the class of 1950 its members divided. Result? Half of the senior class went to the home of the Laughery Twins for a party, the other half went to Erie for their refreshments. The first social event of the senior year was a weiner roast. The party ended with a hayride which proved to be most exciting. Mr. Pratt is an authority on the reasons for an exciting ride. We had a senior dance held on St. Patr1ck's day. This dance, held in the gym, included round dancing and Canasta. Our Commencement exercises were held on May 26, 1950, and our Baccalaureate exercise was held on May 21, 1950. - Now that our school days are over, Charles Linn is leaving with all his excuses for being late, Dan Foltz with his charming technique of getting along with people, and William Donor with his happy-go-lucky personality. Now to our teachers and under classmates, we leave y o u this thought: 'We caused sorrow and trouble to only those that we loved and apprec1ated.'
