The Public Speaking Class and the Juniors, dir- ected by Mrs. Barker, presented a three act comedy, entitled ULaughing Irish Eyesn, on November 22, 1958 In the play, which sparkled with Irish wit and humor, Molly Shannon lMarjor1e Ongleyl, a charming young Irish girl, comes into the home of hardhearted and aristocratic Mrs. Oberon Cvivian Obertl to work as a housemaid. Because Molly's mother, Maggie ' Shannon CGertrude Dinel, is already employed there, Molly takes the name of Molly St. Clair. Maggie is suspicious of her daughter's scheme, since at the same time a new chauffeur arrives. He is Molly's fiance, Tom McFadden KPaul Northropl. ' Through the efforts of Molly and Tom Mrs. Ober- on's daughter, Marguerite CJulia Legnoskys, is saved from marriage to an unworthy scamp, Harry Ryan CRal- ph Wintonlg Myron Oberon CPaul Woodl, the son, is saved from the fortune seeking prima donna, Dolores Dawn CArloene VanTasselJg and happiness is brought to the Oberon household. The Dramatic Club helped to present this play. It also sent some of its members as contestants to the Forensic Contests held at Cambridge Springs. It plans to make purchases of some stage properties to be kept at the school for use in producing future plays. ORCHESTRA The Bloomfield Orchestra under the direction of Graham has furnished much entertainment through- out the year by playing at P.T.A. Meetings, at Assem- bly gatherings, at the Ford Memorial Chapel in Mead- ville, and at Farmer's Institute. The addition of several new members has helped it to succeed. CEEMOH CLUB Since the major project of the Ceemoh Club was to send delegates to the Farm Show, a candy sale, and a Banquet for Crawford County Principals were spon- sored as a means of earning money. As a result, nAp- ples On Paraden was presented January l7, at the Farm Show. Although the group d1dn't bring back the first prize, they did bring back a beautiful oil painting. The Club also sponsored a Banquet for the Faculty and School Board, a soup sale, and an Easter Egg Sale.
