s night shot of Chicago helps to show wonderful skyline. The kazoo kids, Jim Easter and Joe Hansford, keep the junior-senior bus entertained with their rendition of The Blazateersf' Lonnie Bailey, Brad Lucas, and Beth Strauser wait to join other band members after touring the Shedd Aquarium. Chicago was hit by approximately 100 Bloomfield band students in April, 1980. This was the third tour to Chicago for the band. Like the previous years, the group stayed in the Blackstone Hotel. They attended the Schubert Theatre for a performance of They're Playin' Our Song. Different activities were also enjoyed. A tour of Shedd Aquarium and a performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were just a couple. The shopping at Water Tower Place and a dinner at the Como Inn provided a look at different life styles. This lazy dolphin was just one of the many specimens housed in the Shedd Aquarium. Waiting to load the buses, Bill Babcock lets his imagination dream of the weekend ahead. 21

STUDENTS RECEIVE RECOGNITION AT AWARD BANOUETS Paula Baird, Krista Lucas, Crystal Sharr, Kris Hudson, Jeannie Cochrane, Ann Bladen, and Beth Strauser display their awards won at the girls' athletic banquet. Debbie Westfall proudly receives her band honor jacket. Brad Corwin and Jim Hamlin take their turn in presenting awards at the FFA banquet. Each year the high achievers in the areas of boys and girls athletics, band and FFA are honored at their separate awards banquets. In honor of their achievements some of the members received honor jackets, trophies, and letters. Charles Jackson accepts an honor from Mr. McBride at the boys' athletic banquet. Brad Gilliland accepts an award for his accomplishments in basketball from Mr. Brett. 22 Mr. Helms congratulates Glenn Sullivan receives his FFA award.
