Sonja Hayes presents personalized hand towels to each member of the girls' basketball team for becoming sectional champs. 18 ow.. Co-captains Dennis Crites and Da Pickett accept the Cardinal rug for team made by the Douda family. Crystal Sharr gives a prayer during a session for the girls' sectional.

BAND 8. CHORUS PERFORM CAPTIVATING CONCERTS James Ferguson and Russell Hash per- form their rendition of The Sounds of Silence. Under Mr. Werremeyer's direction the Jr. High band entertains the audience at the Christmas concert. The bands and chorus participated in many concerts dining the year. No ad- mission fee was charged at these concerts, and they were open to anyone who enjoys listening to music. A highlight of the Christmas concert was a senior quartet of Teresa Ellis, Terri Fines, Mindy Bamhill, and Diana Partain. This was also the first performance of the Sth grade band. The high school spring concert had such performances as a solo by Mindy Barnhill, a duet by James Ferguson and Russell Hash, and Susan Ternes, vocal soloist with the high school band. Solos, duets, trios, and ensembles were the main events of the chorus' portion of the Jr. High spring concert. Highlights of the band's performance were Basin Street Blues featuring the trombone section and the final conducting of the band by cadet teacher Susan Ternes on the song Marching Grenadiers. The 6th grade band concert was an array of solos to show the young musicians' newly acquired talents. High school band members show a look of intentness as they perform in concert. The 6th grade band utilizes their skills during their portion of a concert.

This is the time when students show the basketball teams that they are backing them. Different days during sectional week consist of crazy hair day, clash day, 50's day, dress-up day, overall's day, stuffed animal day, crazy glasses day, and red and white day. Stella Turner was voted by the cheerleaders as the student with the most spirit during the Tourney. Cambi Stone shows her spirit by par- ticipating in clash and crazy hair day dm'ing the boys' sectional week. The sectional teams enjoys the paper hearts they received from the Varsity Surplus. Janice Troxell shows that even school employees participate in clash and crazy hair day. boys' sectional week. The Jr. High cheerleaders lead a cheer dining a pep session for the County
