Kara Barnard is caught off guard as she works on her mural in the band room. Jeff Thompson adds color to the art room with a science fiction mural. APPIE FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS AUTUMN WEEKEND The 10th annual Apple Festival, spon- sored by the Bloomfield Jaycees, offered several attractions for a variety of in- terests. The highlight of the weekend was the crowning of the queen. The contestants collected donations from businesses, presented their talents, and were in- terviewed by the judges. The Bloomfield Varsity Chorus and Strut 8: Fret members presented a variety show which included songs from Broadway. The Best of Broadway show was written by Fran Moore, former BHS student. With hopes of earning a profit, Dianna Jackson, Kara Barnard, and Mrs. Lank- ford work at the Art Club stand making leather crafts. According to Sharon Carmichael carmel apples are finger lickin' good when they come from the Apple Festival. The boys line up for the Little Tractor Pull, a new attraction to this year's activities. ri I LIIITCE E5 ww' Wa wmariiwi ixfff One of the many highlights on Friday evening was the Varsity Chorus and Strut 8: Fret players presenting The Best of Broadway show.

Many stands were scattered over the lawns providing food, crafts, and other items for sale. Marching in the Scotland parade, the band produced an excellent sound and show for the numerous spectators. Christy Summerville displays clarinet talents while marching at Scotland. Members of the Scotland United Methodist Youth Fellowship enjoy riding on their float, God's Rainbow . f-4, ' ' W 2- frefftrxf' is ., One of the entries in the Scotland parade is Paula Osborn and her dog Jingles. Performing a flag and dance routine to Tuxedo Junction Flag Corp members Tammy Ellis, Sharrie Willey, and Susan Ternes entertain during the Scotland Festival.
