Longuoge The Latin Club was reorganized in 1953 and is now affiliated with the National and State Junior Classical League. This year the club has 47 members, 37 of whom are members of the J.C.L. To become a member of Latin Club, a student must be taking Latin or have had two years of Latin. Students who join are sold as slaves to the older members, and they are not freed until after the initiation, Students who attend the annual state Latin Contest are sponsored by the Latin Club. The main club events are a luncheon during Christmas week and a Roman banquet in the spring.
