Basketball The basketball season for the 1958-59 school year had much the same features as the football season. The early contests gave little encouragement to the Varsity team, while the J.V.ls were more successful in winning games against league competition. However, the ex- cellent reports of the athletic program at the new junior High School. coupled with the success of the J.V. team, seem to indicate some banner years ahead for the Barons in competitive sports. Nothing but praise can he written for the Bloomfield J, v,,s Junior Varsity. This team, under the guidance of Coach Trott, has dominated the League by being undefeated. In six League contests they amassed a total of 112 points while permitting their opponents only 19. Future pros- pects loolc bright for the Barons.
