The first two games the Barons were ineffective against first place, Northville and third place, Brighton. Things improved, however, under the direction of Coach Hoff, and our team won the next three games in a row, downing Clarcznceville, Milford, and Holly, in that order. The next game was a difficult one for the team. They almost overcame a 21 to 0 halftime deficit, only to fall short hy two points, Zl-l9. As the final gun sound- ed, the Barons were in possession of the ball on West Bloomfields seven-vard line. The last two games, one against Holly and Home- coming against Clarkston were victories for the Barons, leaving them with an impressionable 5 and 3 record and fourth place in League standinv.
