I made it a point to jot down what they were doing this being ten years after graduation. I hope in your old age you can read and understand it. Remember as you are reading, that this class was supposed to be most successful. Several of my former buddies have made big names for themselves under the big top. Mary Jane Beaver is the famous tight rope walker. The clown billed as Emmeline Kelly is none other than Kay Hall. Boy oh boy, Dave Glass is still a dude. He is chief stable master at Devon Hills Hunt Club. He's recognized throughout the world as the fore- most authority on saddle soap. Judy Duncan is still writing essays. Her latest, How to Scrape a Sky , won the national contest. The biggest surprise of all to me was to find that Ed Danziger has re opened the Gayety. His motto is: We refuse the right to refuse no one. New show every Thursday. Nancy Gypsy Rose Johnson is the featured performer this week. Colonel Keith Wooster is in charge of the National Guard's newest program. He's conducting an experiment to see if cats can be trained to pull dogsleds in the event of an emergency shortage in the Antartic. Mary Welsh has recently won a trophy in the International Yachting Regatta on Gilbert Lake. The winds and waves are so strong on that lake that we're all thrilled to know as courageous a person as Mary. Jim Blake, commonly known' as Grandpa Blake, is noted for his paintings of calendar girls. He's been using the Birmingham Sewage Dis- posal Plant as the background in the most recent ones. I found Charles Scott still working in the Peter Pan. He has become an efficient egg cracker and tearless onion peeler. Judy Wilde supplies them with eggs and chickens from her prosperous farm. 108
