Our F F A. activities started out this year with square dance followed with a hay rlde and weiner roast to Van Buren Lake In December we sponsored a donkey basket ball game and also started our F F A basketball team. Dale Wright reor sented us in the DlStPlCt Public Speak ing Contest in January and placed 3rd In February we won the hlghest possible awa d of Gold in the Nood County F F N Parllmentary Procedure Contest We held our Parent and Son Banquet 1n March with 98 peo ple attending We also took a trip to the Nev Idea Farm Ma chlnery factory at Coldwater, Ohlo dur1ng March Early 1 April we spent 3 days on a trip to St Louis as the guests of the Purlna Feed Company Ten boys repr sented us in the County Judging Contest on M y 6 On May 2 ,we went to the State F F H Convention and Judglng Contest at the Ohio State Un1VLPS1ty Herman Kreais recleved his State Farmer Degree, for his outstandlng work ln vocatlonal agrlculture and F F 1 He is the flrst boy ever to w1n the award form Bloomdale Other winners of awards for this year are Phll Bresler wlnnlng the Dekalb Award Qfor outstandlng F F A and communlty work, and also Ralph Myers, Farm Safety Award, and Tom Campbell, Ford Sdml 3PShlp iw rd, We'll continue our 5CtlVltlGS this summer with a Sun day P1cn1c at the lake, attending camp, softball t am, boys showing at the county fair, and an F F A booth at the state Fair This is the flrst year for the F H A 1 Bloomdale School We elected our olfic rs from the junior and senior home economics clas They are as follows president Cami Purkey, vice president, gloria Dunn secretary, Marilyn Lud low, and treasurer, Rose Marie Campbell, N6 have had two vening meetings The first was held at t e home of our president The second was a Christmas party held at the home of Gloria Dunn. s a means of making money for the club, we have sold lemon and vanilla flavorlng and have had a square dance In October of 1951 we attended the county meetlng at RlS1ng sun On March 17 Wu served the F F A Panquet On March 27 we has a upper for all the m mbers of the club Mrs Wilson from the Gas Company was our guest speaker NG have has a lot of fun ln our little club and hope that it will become bigger and better as it stays in Bloom dale School.
