ELEIVENTH GRADE Class Officers and Sponsor President Dwight Emmltt V1ce President Harold Schroeder Secretary Treasurer Margaret Dunn Reporters Maryalxce Gooch Joyce Kleckner Student Council Jim Rosendale Sponsor John Deckard CLASS ACTIVITIES We all came back to school very ambitious this fall all ready to work with zeal The ambition wore off within two weeks The second week we recewed our rmgs They are very unique, with and joy Don t be surprised if you see girls wearing rings about four times too big for their little fingers fWe wonder where they got them ?l On December Z 1948 we had a three act play called The I-lenpecked Husband directed by Mr Deckard The following students were in 1t, Dwight Emm1tt Mary Metz, Todd Simon, Pat McGra1n, Margaret Dunn Jack Elder, Mollie Elder Maryahce Gooch Joyce Kleckner, Firmm Yost and Jim Rosendale This 1S the second three act play that we have had since we have been in high school Last year we acted out a play directed by Mrs Stoudinger, called Bolts and Nuts Both of these plays really helped our fund, which we are steadily increasing for the Junior Senior Banquet and the class trip as Seniors Durmg February we served a banquet for the school personnel which was held m honor of our former superintendent Mr Treece It was the first time the Juniors have served anyone We we re told that everyone enjoyed our meal which consisted of cocktail, escalloped potatoes, baked ham vegetable salad peas and carrots, pie and ice cream We are all looking forward to the Junior and Senior Banquet, whxch will take place sometime in May After that we will have only one more year of school to look forward to The next time you hear from us, we will be Seniors 18 our initials on the outside, and a big B in the middle. They are our pride

SOPHOMORE Class Off1cers and Sponsor Pre s1dent Kenneth Harr1s Vzce Preszdent Fred Shallenberger Secretary Treasurer Lucllle Schroeder Reporter Kathleen Hatfleld Student Councxl Nancy Stearns Sponsor Mrs Engle CLASS ACTIVITIES We started back to school on September 4 1948 very happy to be the new Sophomores wxth only three years ahead of us before becomxng B H S Alumn1 We began w1th two new scholars Norma Jean Wolfe, and Bob B1sbee making a total of twenty one rn the class For th1s year the Sophomores had a cho1ce of the followmg subjects Blology C1v1cs Bookkeeping Home Economlcs Shop and Muslc Enghsh and Physxcal Educatlon are the only requ1red subjects The student counc11 sponsored a school falr m October Our class took part m lt by -havmg a refreshments stand m the Home Economlcs room It took a l1tt1e work m preparmg thmgs but we enjoyed domg our part We had our turn at havmg assembly whxch we thmk everyone enjoyed F1rst the band played a few numbers for us then we gave a short play ent1t1ed Fatal Quest We ended our program by havmg Mr Treece show us a fllm on the Antarctrc Expedxtxon The short play whxch members of the Sophomore Class gave for assembly was also gwen at the P T A program on February 3 Fred Shallenberger Fred Macxas, Kenneth Harms and Lowell Rager have part1c1pated U1 sports from our class thls year The rest of the boys play on the mtramural boys teams that play the1r games at noon Several of our g1r1s played on the grrls 1ntramural teams 19 .................... - OIOOOIO 000 - lilo lt! ............ .. .-. ... ....-Q. ....
