Freshmen Sophomores The following conversorion wos overheord on rhe firsr doy of school. Listen now os we drop in on Frieda Freshman and Alphonso Firsryear . . Frieda: Did you heor that they ore charging S5.00 for on elevoror key? Alphonso: Doy, inflation has really hit hard! Frieda: There must be a br of new Freshmen named Benjamin this year. Alphonso: Why do you soy that? Frieda: Because all I keep hearing is Hey, Bennie! Alphonso: There are so many doors in this school. I don't know which one to turn to. Frieda: Well, all I know is rhor rhe locked doors are rhe ones that open into rhe bathrooms. Alphonso: Yeoh, I hod trouble with those borhroom doors too, bur, you know, they must have done a lor of reconstruction of rhe school over rhe summer. Frieda: What do you mean? Alphonso: Because when I went upstairs looking for rhe fifth floor, just like a really big kid rob me, it wasn't there; it had been moved across rhe street! r FRESHMEN REVEAL MOST EMBARASSING MOMENTS I went into o Junior doss, and rhe teacher didn't coll my name. She finolly asked me whor grade I was in, and when I told her that I was in rhe ninth grade, she said: Tm sorry; this is a Junior cbss. Everyone was laughing or me. —Ausanra Beosley I forgot to go to ninth period and went on to tenth period. Then, when I found our it was real- ly ninth period, I was embarassed to tell rhe teacher what had happened in front of rhe other students. —Carmen Camarena I went to rhe Chorus for Juniors and Seniors instead of rhe Freshman Choir. I gor my second se- mester schedule mixed in with my firsr semester schedule. I coubn'r find rhe cafeteria or rhe bathrooms. I couldn't even find rhe front entrance. —Tamara Piquion I walked right over rhe Trojan head, and this teacher was furious. To top it off, I totally missed my Algebra class. I went through a moss of confusion, bur I survived it. —Chris Griffin I wos looking for my girl friend when I saw a girl who looked like her. I came up behind her, covered her eyes, and said: Guess who? She rurned around with a dirty look, and it wasn't my friend. I was so embarassed! —Bay Jomes I couldn’t find my way around rhe school.
