This year the best way to say 'gHappy Valentine's Dayi' to your sweetheart was to take her to the Blue and White Dance held February 14. Following the Bloom-Kankakee game, although we were not victorious, the students, with elated spirits, twisted, bobbed, and waltzed to the music of the 6Beatle' Bill Reichert Band. Reigning over the dance were Marcella Ranieri and David Brauer, both seniors. The king and queen were crowned at a Courtesy Clean-up assembly held on the preceding Thursday. Gosh, it's already four o'clock: we'd better hur- ry. This was one ofthe utterances overheard in the chaotic cafeteria on Saturday. November 30. Why the hurry and chaos? At 8:45, couples started drifting into the no- longer chaotic cafeteria for Jazz Personitiedf' the annual Homecoming dance. A glittering glass sphere dominated the event. as the Ray Pondis orchestra played saucy but heavenly music, and couples dreamily glided across the floor. Then, at the magic coronation moment, nerves tensed. 6'Who will wear the crown'?', is the ques- tion in everyone's mind. As Anne Borton and Ron Harris, 1961 queen and 1962 king, crowned Mel- ody Inucci and Ralph Maioriano, the question was answered. Other members of the court were Linda Iafollo, Marcie Ranieri, Jill Piazza, Nick Zaranti, Enunzio Paolilli, and Bruce Hodges. Soon, the Homecoming was over and those at- tending began to leave with hearts filled with precious memories never to be forgotten.
