lntormol Donces Highlight Activities With the scene set tor Christmas. Marcia Fandrey and Al Jenkins dreamily waltz to the music 'Furnished by Al Peters' orchestra. Yasulco Amemiya, in her native costume, dances at the Student Exchange dance. 25 lntormal dances played an important role in Bloom's social activities this year. The dances. appropriately termed stag or drag because a date was not abso- lutely necessary, were held in the girls' big gym. Under various names and tor many reasons, the dances were held atter ath- letic encounters. The Get-Acguainted Dance was appropriatelyheld early in the tirst semester. Next was The l-loli- day l-lop, this year's charity dance. Following this, the toreign exchange stu- dent dance. Side by Side. earned money to bring another toreign student here next year. To climax this season's dances. Bloom and Thornton students attended the annual Blue and White Dance. l s Linda Wilson and Bill Hunter really get into the swing ot things at The l'loliday l-lop.
