School Activity Continues After 3: Long hours were spent rehearsing the senior class play. Olclahoma! Shown above are Steve Baker and the rest ot the cast practicing the square dance scene. Student Council activities such as the South Suburban Congress require time and ettort atter school. l-lere Dr. l-l. l-l. lvletcalt, super- intendent, addresses the delegates attending the Congress. Although the dismissal bell rings at 3:05 p.m.. the school day is tar trom over tor many Bloomites. A wide range ot activities keeps students in the build- ing till early evening and otten brings them back at night. A constant whirl ot club and committee meetings, play and assembly rehearsals, and intramural athletic activities otter opportunities tor everyone to participate in extracurricu- lar activities. Several dances. banquets. and other programs are held in the eve- ning. in addition to athletic events which attract many students. O5
