Bloomites back the team and show their spirit at an after school pep rally aided by cheerleaders and malorettes Bloom Lite ls All This No longer is school a routine of classes, lunch, and more classes. Now the building hums at all hours with club meetings, dinners, dances, and games. During school hours stu- dents roam halls, soliciting contributions, sell- ing pencils, or rushing to a college conference. All ot these together-social activities, classes, and athletics-make up that which is differ- ent to each student but known to them all as Bloom Lite. Right: Woe be unto the hapless freshman who tries to defy the hall guides and go up, as John Ross, Al Spada, Duncan Lode, Ron Reichert, Maggie Skorich, Barbara Mitchell, Janet Golcher and Jacqueline Freese well know.

Areci To each student, school means something different. To the social butterfly it means dances, club meetings, chatter, and the weekly games. To the athlete it is mak- ing the team, basketball season, and the South Suburban Conference, To the stu- dious it is classes, credits, and report cards. Yes, it is this-all of it, and more. A school is not only the bricks and build- ings but the people inside, the faculty, classes, clubs, and committees, combined into one-Bloom Life. 7

Freshmen Judy Prystalski, Lois Pul- macher, Margaret Cochrane, and Dar- lene Nietfeldt hope the driver training cars last until they get a chance to use them. Connie Seiter appeals to the charitable in- stincts of Bob DeBolt and Bonnie Slov as she collects during one of the City of Bloom charity drives. Albert Hoecker counts out change to buy some of the candy Marian Panici is selling. Hungry Bloomites storm this first floor nook as soon as the 3:20 bell rings.
