Bloom students never know what they're in for when an extra assembly is given in the boys' gym. Sometimes they are entertained by jazz singers, or maybe the exciting works of Edgar Allan Poe are portrayed. The pep assemblies do their part in strengthening the school spirit and in giving the students a chance to cheer for victory. All in all-the assemblies at Bloom provide a needed break in the school day and are often educational, too. Members of the Deep River Quartet stomp at the Savoy, while entertaining the students at a split assembly. Sporting formal attire, the Singing Hoosiers add a profes- sional touch to the assembly. 29
