After winning the second straight game from the Argonauts, the football enthusiasts from Bloom flocked to the annual Get- Acquainted Dance. Not only freshies, but a majority of upperclassmen attended, hoping to get acquainted with the fella that sat behind them in English or the gal whose locker was next to theirs. Music for the evening was supplied by Henri Buttell's band. Get Ac 7uo.u-ti e ci -D A DANCE C Shake, rattle, and roll . . The school colors are gaily sported by jit- terbugging students who filled the gym at the annual Blue and White dance. After a crushing victory against Blue Island, the jubilant students danced 'til midnight .... The hour of twelve came all too soon.

The occasion was the annual snake dance which traditionally pre- cedes the Bloom-Thornton football game. Poised atop a truck, the cheerleaders led the enthusias- tic Bloomites in victory cheers. The blazing bon- fire, also an annual event, took place on the high school's parking lot after the snake dance. As the last embers of the bonfire slowly died, the stu- dents departed, confident that their team would achieve a victory over their biggest rivals the following night. Dorleen Bacik, Patricia DiMascio, and Judy Kunde make a colorful trio as they dance during the Senior class assembly. 6'flll0R 53' M ly While holding his Oscar for favorite male- vocalist during the Academy Awards, jim Bory croons to the tune of Suddenly There's a Valley. With the blues spirit bursting forth as evidenced in her expression, Jackie Rotondi sings Cry Me a River, at the same event. After spending much time and energy the seniors presented their interpretation of the Academy Awards in their assembly. Various stage and screen personal- ities were imitated by talented seniors. Pete Klinger's portrayal of Liberace was especially entertaining. A group of seniors posed as Hollywood celebrities and served as the staged audience for this occasion. No, it's not George! Liberace? Well-Pete Klin- ger does his best to convince the students that it 25 . . . . , is Liberace. Too bad this isnt a color shot. The multi-colored candles are dazzling!
