Some work from 7:50-10:30 in the morning before attending school, while others go to school part of the morning and then begin working at 12:30. Besides learning and practicing their pro- fessions, the 32 students in Diversified Occu- pations receive a minimum pay every two weeks to the tune of 75C an hour. Two credits are also received. These work-while-you-learn students have third hour set aside each day for a Diversified Occupations class under the general supervision of Mr. john Prombo of the Industrial Educa- tion department. Grades are determined by the type of work they do in the business outside of school and also by their progress while under the supervision of Mr. Prombo.

It's an all-out affair and everyone is tense until the crucial time is over. Probable candidates start their campaigns early in the year, and each spring new and different ideas are uncovered to gain backers.
